Automatic brake clearance adjustment arm, also known as "automatic clearance adjustment arm" or "automatic adjustment arm".
After using the automatic adjustment arm, the vehicle has the following characteristics when driving:
1. Ensure that the wheels have a constant braking clearance and the braking is safe and reliable;
2. The push rod stroke of the brake cylinder is short, and the braking is fast and reliable;
3. The brake cylinder push rod is always in the initial position before braking, ensuring the best braking torque;
4. Make the braking effect of all wheels consistent and stable;
5. Reduce the consumption of compressed air and extend the life of the air compressor, brake cylinder and other components in the compressed air system;
6. Reduce material consumption and extend the service life of brake components;
7. Easy to install and use, reducing the number of manual repairs and improving economic benefits;
8. The adjustment mechanism is enclosed in the shell and well protected, thus avoiding moisture, dirt, collision, etc.
The important parts in the automatic adjustment arm are as follows:
1. Shell
2. Worm gear and worm
3. One-way clutch assembly (composed of gear, square steel spring and internal gear sleeve)
4. Rack, control ring, spiral compression spring.
Automatic adjustment arm working process
When braking is started, the adjusting arm drives the camshaft through the clearance angle and excess clearance angle, and the resulting wear is accurately recorded. At this time, the cam angular stroke is in the clearance area, which is characterized by little change in braking torque.
When braking is continued, the cam angular stroke enters the elastic deformation zone, and the braking torque rises sharply until the vehicle stops. Release the pedal, the brake returns, the braking torque decreases, and the cam angle travel returns to the clearance area. The automatic adjustment arm uses the worm gear to drive the camshaft through a certain angle based on the excess clearance recorded during braking, thereby completing an adjustment.
